Activities in this project include disking within the channel of the Platte River at each of the habitat complexes identified on Sheets 3 through 8. Target areas are heavily vegetated islands and sand bars. The acres identified are estimates of open channel area within habitat complex. It is anticipated that 10- 20% or less of each complex will actually need to be disked. Upon award of the contract, more detailed maps will be provided to the contractor to assist in targeted vegetation disking. Payment will be made on actual hours worked, which may be more or less than the estimate.
